So my blog is a little different this week, because of these unprecedented events your club is now temporarily closed.
A really sad time for us all, but we must continue to look forward to the time we will be
open again. Hopefully soon we will be able to share a coffee, play golf, have a facial, go for a swim, use the Aqua Spa and get back in the gym with our family and friends!
Before all this happened I had managed to get my exercise routine back on track, doing group exercise classes and visiting the gym, now I am at home with no equipment, what to do?
Improvise! So, I left the house this morning and ran around the local field, the one blessing was that I only passed a handful of people, who saw me red faced and struggling to breathe. Anyone who knows me knows that this is one activity I don’t really enjoy. I would much rather use the rowing machines or cross trainers in the gym.
With my run for the day complete, I got home and decided to do one of the Les Mills CX workouts that I had previously been enjoying at the club. Although it’s the same as being in a class with other people, at least I can still workout.
Well, that turned out not to be as easy as I hoped, you see I have two dogs, both of whom are very confused that I am suddenly at home all day and are following me around everywhere. So when I laid on the floor to start my class they thought I wanted to play! What a disaster, I will try again tomorrow!
From me and all the team at the club, we hope you are staying indoors and staying safe. I have added the link at the bottom of this page so you can take part in the Les Mills classes at home and hopefully your pets (unlike mine) will let you complete your workout. Try something you have never done before and then, when we all get back together we will look like pros!
Stay safe, see you soon!
