We are pleased to outline new and exciting progress in the enhancement of our 15th hole on the golf course. Major renovation work has taken place for the last several months on the new competition tee box, with great progress being made, despite the recent prolonged drought conditions.
- April – Drainage system installed.
- July – Irrigation system installed. Tee seeded and fertiliser applied.
- August – There is now grass coverage on the main tee, a crucial addition ahead of the autumn period.
Renovation of the 15th hole tee box has been running alongside our wider “Project 32” enhancement of the golf course. The first phase of Project 32 saw the introduction of three state-of-the-art robotic mowers from Echo Robotics.
A major focus of Project 32 is our comprehensive bunker refurbishment programme, delivered in partnership with DuraBunker. This is a significant investment in both time and resources, with a commitment to refurbish all 63 bunkers across the course as part of the programme. Phase one of the bunker refurbishment has begun ahead of schedule. Several bunkers have now been dug out and reshaped ready for lining.
In addition, we are committing to continued improvement of course accessibility, with the installation of a new buggy path network to the back 9. This long-term commitment reflects our continued focus on improving playing conditions, course presentation, and the overall experience for our members and guests.
