I cannot believe we’re into a brand new year already. I love this time of year, as it can be a fresh start, a time for new resolutions. I love making them but the truth is I will probably break them before the end of the month!! Are you like me? Starting off with great enthusiasm that soon wavers as life gets in the way. If exercise is the thing that you struggle to make a part of your routine then we have a fantastic offer in January, with reduced joining fees, plus all our memberships are contract free, so you really don’t have to worry about being tied into a 12 month membership that you end up not using. Although that said the Aqua Spa is included, so why not join and be kind to yourself the relaxing way!
Did you know that the NHS recommends that you do at least 150 minutes of moderate aerobic activity every week and strength exercises on two or more days a week,working all the major muscles (legs, hips, back, abdomen, chest, shoulders and arms)?
It can be really daunting to know where to start and often the first step is the hardest. But, we all have to start somewhere and it doesn’t matter what you do as long as you do it! Plus, here at China Fleet Country Club we can help you. Gym, exercise classes, swimming, advice, we have it all!
Being healthy isn’t just about exercise, it’s about good nutrition too. It’s important to ensure you have a varied and balanced diet with plenty of fibre and vitamins.
However, we know that sometimes eating healthy can take effort, but don’t worry; we have a great choice of healthy meals at China Fleet – including one of my favourites eggs & avocado on toast. It’s the perfect post-workout breakfast!
Avocados are a great source of potassium, fibre, heart-healthy monounsaturated fat, and folate, while eggs provide protein and micronutrients like choline, B vitamins, and vitamin D.
