Beauty Therapist

We are looking for a beauty therapist to join our team in the Barn Spa

As a Beauty Therapist/Beautician you are required to have a NVQ Level 3 in Beauty Therapy. A minimum of 1 years’ experience and qualifications in Hot Stones and Indian Head Massage is preferred.

The hours are 24 over a 3-week period based on the following rota:

Week 1 : Saturday and Sunday 9.15am to 5.15pm

Week 2: Saturday 9.15am to 5.15pm

Week 3: No hours

There will be occasional extra shifts to cover for holiday and sickness. Reception desk cover may also be required.

Casual Leisure Assistant

We are looking for Casual Leisure Assistants to cover as and when required for holiday, sickness and peak times.

Duties to include:

  • Lifeguarding
  • Setting up equipment on poolside and dry side
  • Providing support to the gym instructors

National Pool lifeguard qualification is essential, a first aid certificate would be preferred.

Shifts vary between the hours of 6.15am to 10.30pm, Monday to Sunday

A DBS will be required at the China Fleet expense.

HR Assistant

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant to join our team in a generalist role, providing support to the HR Manager. The successful candidate will play a key role in various HR functions, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our department.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the recruitment process by posting job openings.
  • Facilitate new employee onboarding ensuring all required paperwork is completed.
  • Maintain accurate employee records including personal information and attendance.
  • Prepare HR-related documentation such as employment contracts, letters and reports
  • Record all staff absences and issue relevant paperwork ensuring it is completed and returned.
  • Assist with employee relations by addressing inquiries by email, telephone and in person.
  • Assist with coordinating training programs and maintaining training records.
  • Assist with employee relations activities, such as organising employee events and recognition programs.
  • Ensure Policies and Procedures are consistently applied.
  • Assist in compliance with UK employment laws.
  • Assist with payroll data collection.
  • Minute taking at meetings.

The successful HR Assistant will have:

A minimum of 1 years’ experience working in HR.

Experience of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, WORD etc.)

Excellent communicator, both verbally and written, with all levels of staff

Good organisation and time management skills

Attention to detail and accuracy.

Discretion and ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.

A level 3 CIPD qualification is desirable and knowledge of CiVICA software would be an advantage.

Full Time-40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Maintenance Operative

As our Maintenance Operative you will manage repairs and maintenance across our Club inside and out to a consistently high level in a timely fashion. Maintaining our essential plant and equipment which is vital to the running of the Club, minimising any down time. Duties will include but not limited to basic plumbing, carpentry, basic electrical tasks, painting and decorating. No two days are the same.

You will be required to:

Have a basic knowledge of Plumbing/Carpentry/Wall Tiling/Decorating skills/Electrical repairs.Work on your own initiative.Communicate effectively with both the public and work colleagues.Be fully familiar with all Health and Safety instructions relevant to your area of work.Adhere to all current legislation pertaining to fire, lone working, health and safety regarding the workplace.The successful candidate will have proven experience working within the field of maintenance and repairs. You must also have a keen attention to detail and the ability to take initiative when tackling problems, an electrical qualification, knowledge and experience of pool plant equipment, water and sewage treatment plants and HVAC would be an advantage, although not essential.

Hours are 32 per week Monday to Thursday, working 1 Saturday in 4 with a day off during the week, 8am to 4pm, there will be occasions of starting earlier or finishing later which you will be compensated for.
