Eat Chocolate

Eat Chocolate!

Did you know 7th July 2018 is National Chocolate Day?

As a chocolate lover I did! I also know that chocolate is actually made from a fruit – the cocoa bean. Though I’m not sure it counts as ‘1 of your 5 a day’ unfortunately.

However, dark chocolate is credited with a number of health giving properties including being good for your heart, lowering blood pressure and lowering cholesterol levels, due to its antioxidant levels. It’s also been discovered that dark chocolate can improve brain function and its antioxidant levels are considered to be helpful in slowing the signs of ageing. Very good reasons to eat chocolate!

Here at China Fleet Country Club, Saltash, we have a selection of tasty chocolate treats to tempt you in our restaurant and brasserie, from chocolate cakes for coffee with friends to post exercise workout protein bars. You can indulge in a traditional Afternoon Tea or dine in our Upper Deck Bistro or Brasserie where we have delicious chocolate fudge brownie sundae, warm hazelnut & chocolate brownie, chocolate ice cream, deluxe hot chocolates and even chocolate syrups to add a special treat to your coffee.

Our Chef has even shared his recipe for Chocolate Brownies! Enjoy!
