National Stress Awareness Month
Takes place every April and has done since it first launched in 1992. Throughout the month, teams of experts aim to increase public awareness about stress and the effects stress can have on the mind and body.

Stress is widely regarded as a common part of fast-paced modern life, but if left ignored it can trigger debilitating illnesses and take over a person’s life. However, there is lots you can do now to help keep stress under control. Exercise, food and rest all help:

Meditation – is helpful to the brain’s neural pathways, making you more resilient to stress
Breathing Deeply – triggers our parasympathetic nervous system, neutralises stress and elicits a calming feeling
Exercise – all forms of exercise can ease depression and anxiety by helping the brain, releasing feel-good chemicals giving your body a chance to practice dealing with stress
Eating Healthy – choosing a diet rich in vegetables, fruits, and fibre may reduce the chance of stress by boosting the body’s natural defence system
At China Fleet, you can use a range of facilities to help. From exercise classes and our gym to massages and the Aqua Spa, there is something here that can help.
